These steps are for if you're adding one of my backgrounds to your blog for the first time. (If you are already using a design from Cristi's Creations, click HERE for simple instructions on how to change it.)
STEP 1. Go to your blog. In the top right corner, click on the "customize" tab.
STEP 2. Next, in the customize screen, go to the top left and click on "pick new template."
STEP 3. In the template screen, pick the VERY FIRST template available. It's called "minima." (Make sure you choose just regular minima - not minima dark, minima blue, etc.). Once you have chosen "minima" as your template, click on the orange "save template" button.
STEP 4. After you have clicked on "save template," go to the upper left corner of the screen and click on "view blog."
STEP 5. This will take you back to your blog. Make sure that all former settings and backgrounds have been cleared and you have a white screen behind your blog posts.

STEP 6. Now, go back up to the top right corner of your screen and click on "customize" again.
STEP 7. On the top left of your screen, click on "edit HTML"
STEP 8. This will take you to a screen that brings up some funny writing that looks like this:
STEP 9. Scroll down until you find this text:
STEP 10: Highlight this text (highlight everything I have listed above from "body" until "}"
STEP 11. NOW keep this window open. And then open ANOTHER window. (Not sure which internet browser you use, but you most likely will know how to do this. For instance, in Firefox, just click file, then new window.) In the new window, open up Cristi's Creations
STEP 10. Once in Cristi's Creations, scroll down until you see this:
STEP 11. Highlight the shown text and then click on "copy"
STEP 12. You'll want to make sure you keep your blog window open AND Cristi's Creations window open as you'll be going back and forth between the two sites.
STEP 13. Go back to your blog. You'll be in the "edit html" tab still. And you should have this highlighted:
STEP 14: Now click on "paste" to replace this html with the code you highlighted over at Cristi's Creations
STEP 15. It should then look like this:
STEP 16. Take a breather for a minute! PHEW! You're doing great!
STEP 17. Okay, now - again, leaving this browser window open, switch back to your Cristi's Creations browser window and find the background that you'd like to use. Once you have chosen a background, find the html direct link code beneath it.
STEP 18. Highlight the code that you'd like to use and click on "copy"
STEP 19. Going back to your blog html code screen, find the part (from what you just pasted in) that says "(direct link)" in the parentheses.
STEP 20. Highlight JUST the words (make sure you leave the parentheses unhighlighted). So you'll highlight only "direct link"
STEP 21. Now, you'll paste your chosen html direct link code that you copied from Cristi's Creations in between those parentheses, replacing the words "direct link." It should look something like this now (varying depending on the code you chose):
STEP 22. You're almost done! Now, just click on the orange "save template" button.
STEP 23. Then, click on the "view blog" button in the top left. And VOILA!
